About AMES

Our Story

AMES is a registered non-profit, non-governmental organization based in Syria

AMES is a registered non-profit, non-governmental organization based in Syria, dedicated to transforming and elevating the standards of health professions education in Syria. We recognize the urgent need for reform in a country where access to high-quality, evidence-based medical education is often limited by systemic challenges, conflict, and resource scarcity.
Our mission is rooted in the belief that education is not just a technical endeavor but a human one — shaped by equity, ethics, and a deep commitment to societal well-being. We work across disciplines, institutions, and borders to empower future healthcare professionals and educators with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to deliver compassionate, competent care.
